Frequently Asked Questions

Amatsu is a gentle, hands-on therapy with its roots in traditional Japanese medicine. It works with the body as a whole, helping to restore balance, ease tension and support natural movement.

We begin with a short conversation about what’s been going on for you. Treatment is carried out with you fully clothed, on a massage plinth/table using gentle techniques to work with the body and support it back towards balance. In Amatsu we treat the whole body and not just the symptom bringing the body back to its homeostasis/zero point. Amatsu never uses force and is considered a very safe therapy.

We also welcome new mothers from six weeks after birth, and treat newborns of any age using gentle cranial work.
