Your Body Is Trying to Tell You Something
Pain, discomfort and restriction are signals - not just symptoms to be managed.
Amatsu works to find and address the underlying cause, so your body can return to its natural state of balance.

More than just pain relief
Many people come to Amatsu after trying other therapies (physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage) and finding that relief is only temporary. That's because when the body is out of balance, treating the painful area alone is rarely enough.
Amatsu looks at the whole picture: your posture, movement patterns, injury history, and how your body has compensated over time. This whole-body approach means that conditions which may seem unrelated - a sore knee, a tight jaw, a sluggish digestive system - can all be connected to the same underlying imbalance.
The list below reflects the wide range of issues that Amatsu may help with. If you don't see your condition listed, please do get in touch - it's always worth a conversation.
Amatsu may help with:

Systemic & Internal
Because the body is interconnected, an imbalance can affect internal systems too.
Digestive disorders
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Circulatory problems
Energy, Stress & Emotional Wellbeing
Physical imbalance and emotional health are deeply connected. Amatsu works with the whole person.
Chronic fatigue and low energy
Stress and tension are held in the body
General sense of being "out of sorts" or depleted
Support through pregnancy and beyond
Amatsu is a gentle therapy that can be wonderfully supportive throughout pregnancy, helping to ease the physical changes and strains that come with each trimester. Treatment is recommended from the second trimester onwards, though earlier treatment is possible where there is significant discomfort.
During pregnancy, Amatsu may particularly help with:
Sciatica and lower back pain
Hip and pelvic pain
Pubic symphysis dysfunction
Ligament tension
General postural strain
I also welcome new mothers from six weeks after birth, and treat newborns from any age using gentle cranial work.
"I had tried everything for my issue — physiotherapy, chiropractic. I wasted so much money but with only one session of Amatsu my mind was blown away. I am no longer in pain."

HOW AMATSU APPROACHES THESE CONDITIONS
Why Amatsu works differently
Whatever brings you through the door, the approach is always the same: your whole body is assessed, not just the area that hurts. Pain or discomfort in one part of the body is often the result of an imbalance or compensation elsewhere.
By identifying and working with the root cause, Amatsu helps the body release long-held tension, unwind compensation patterns, and return to its natural, balanced state - with benefits that extend beyond the physical to how you feel emotionally and mentally, too.
Not sure if Amatsu is right for you?
If you're unsure whether Amatsu can help with your particular condition, please don't hesitate to get in touch. A short email exchange is often all it takes to figure out whether it's a good fit - and if Amatsu isn't the right approach for you, Breda will always say so honestly.
No referral is needed. Just reach out.
